So! Pottermore came out today at 12:00 pm (in England). There was this whole, countdown thing on YouTube, with a whole bunch of owls. I got up at 6:30 (because England is five hours ahead), to watch the “big announcement”. So. A “unique online experience”? Screw that I’m going to bed! So After that I went to bed for half an hour before I had to go to school. I hope I’m not the only disappointed one that watched it.

Way to Busy.
So I’ve been busy. Really busy.
1- Cleaning my room.
So I began to clean my room, and over a period of time, IT’S FINALLY DONE!! So I will now be filming in there! Yay! But now it’s kind of messy again. (see reason 2) Guhh!
2- MAJOR Geography test.
Last week my teacher told is that there would be a major geography test in a week, so get studying! So naturally, I took all the books I could find in the library out on this subject, brought text books home, re-write all of my notes so they would be in cleaner handwriting, printed off so much stuff off the internet, and ran out of three highlighters just doing this! So now my room is FILLED with note, books, and just about every thing else I just listed. MAJOR CLEAN TIME!
3- Two words. Harry, Potter.
So right before my teacher told us about this test that would be for the majority of our geography marks, I started to read the Harry Potter series again for the like, 500th time! I had literally just finished the first book the morning she told us. So I was trying to get as far as I could while trying to cram for a test, and constantly trying to keep my room as clean as possible.
4- Editing programs take off more time than you’d think.
Once I realized I had stayed up way too late just studying, I then hoped on the computer and used good old Google to find reviews on editing programs I was interested in. I read all of the reviews right from beginning to end. Until 1:00 a.m. rolled around.
5- Getting money.
So naturally, of you want money, you’ll have to work for it. So I’ve been grabbing up all the babysitting jobs I can get! Also digging through the couch everyday for loose change, and trying to do double your chores. All this? Why. I WANT A VIDEO CAMERA! My webcam sucks, and it would be nice to bring to my friend’s houses to film there and stuff. And actually being able to go around my house without the fear of breaking my laptop, is like the light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel of laptops. And cameras.
So as you can see, I’ve been doing lots and lots of stuff. I don’t get my geography mark back until Thursday, so cross you fingers for me!

Camera/Vlog Needs.
So for those of you who did not read my last blog post, I've recently thought about saving up for a flip cam or a Sony Handy-Cam CX150. This has also made me think about downloading an editing program on to my computer. I guess it’s a good thing wanting to better my vlogging conditions. Although it will take a bit to get used to having to spend several hours (possibly) both shooting and editing my videos, it will be a nice change for those of you who watch my videos.
I didn’t really know how much time vloggers spent making those two to three minute videos we all watch. Just watching Hank Green of the vlogbrothers, spend one and a half hours just editing one video. Watching Kristina Horner of italktosnakes and kristinahorner, spend quite a lot of time just finding the right lighting for a video. Sometimes in other’s vlog’s, I hear them say that they spend hours shooting, and editing this video, I almost always thought they were exaggerating. Hours on a three minute video? No way. But it turns out to be true. When I started out watching vlogs, I thought it was these random people talking to their camera’s for 3 minutes, and then spending 5 minutes editing it. But boy was I wrong. Hours. Hours for just sitting in front of your camera talking.
Recently I’ve had people at school, people I don’t even talk to, come up and tell me that they’ve watched my videos. When they say this, for some reason, I get embarrassed. I have no idea what to say. So I usually say, ‘Yeah.’ or ‘Cool!’. I guess because I don’t get many views, and I’m not what you would call “well known”, I feel embarrassed to talk about my vlogs at school. Even though I could get views that way. Afraid of what people might think. They’re just a random video (no editing), of me talking.
A lot of people thing vlogging is stupid. ‘It’s just a person talking to their camera!’ They say. Or ‘It’s not even entertaining!’. But vlogging is a lot more than that. It’s like a way to talk to people. Get to know new friends. And, some people can even make a living with these so called “wastes of time”.
Sorry to go all into it. But this has been on my mind, and putting in a video would take for ever. A five minute long video (because I do not edit, which sucks) of me talking about vlogging would interest very few people. Anyways!
